Every special is a full, satisfying plate or bowl — not a sampler, not a portion trimmed down to hit a price. These are the same recipes we’ve been cooking for more than twenty years, served at lunch for a flat $12.95 with a pop of your choice.
Weekly Special #1 — Pork Chop on Rice
One grilled lemongrass pork chop with a fried egg over steamed rice. The pork is marinated until the lemongrass and a little char do all the talking, and the runny egg ties it to the rice. It’s the plate our regulars order when they want comfort food that still tastes like it was made with care. Simple, filling, and the kind of lunch that holds you through a long afternoon.
Weekly Special #2 — Beef Pho
A bowl of our classic beef phở — the same rice noodle soup people drive in for from across York Region. The broth simmers from sunrise: roasted spices, charred onion, and slow-cooked bones, no shortcuts. On a grey Ontario afternoon, there’s no better twelve-and-change you can spend. If you’ve never had real pho, this is the gentlest, most welcoming place to start.
Weekly Special #3 — BBQ Chicken Vermicelli
Grilled lemongrass BBQ chicken over cool vermicelli noodles, with herbs and the bright, balanced fish-sauce dressing that makes a bún bowl sing. It eats light but leaves you full — perfect for the warmer GTA months when you don’t want a heavy plate sitting with you for the rest of the day. Smoky, fresh, and a little addictive.
All three come in at $12.95 with a pop, Monday through Wednesday.
Why we run a lunch special at all
We didn’t add specials to move slow inventory or pad a menu. We added them because the neighbourhood asked, in the quiet way neighbourhoods do — the same faces coming in on weekday lunches, the office crowd from around Promenade Shopping Centre, students, shift workers, parents grabbing a bowl between errands.
A weekly special is our way of saying: you don’t need a special occasion to eat well. Tuesday lunch gets the same broth, the same lemongrass marinade, and the same kitchen that treats it like Saturday dinner. We just put a friendlier price on three of them to make the weekday decision easy.
It’s also the best low-risk way to try Vietnamese food if you’re new to it. Not sure whether you’re a pho person or a vermicelli person? Three weeks, three specials, and you’ll know. Made by a kitchen that’s done this for 20+ years
The specials change, but the standard behind them doesn’t. We’ve been cooking Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese food for over two decades — first across three restaurants in Saskatoon, and now here in Thornhill. What that experience buys you on a $12.95 plate is consistency. The pork chop tastes the same on a slow Monday as it does on a busy Wednesday. The pho broth is never rushed to keep up with a rush. We’re open every day, 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The weekly specials run Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday — so the deal lines up neatly with the start of the work week, when a good, affordable lunch does the most good.

A quick tip: the specials are most reliably available earlier in the lunch window. If your heart is set on the pho, a Monday or Tuesday call around 11:30 is your safest bet.
